Historical Example: Question asked of astrologer Palchus of Smyrna, July 14, A.D. 479, "Will the ship I'm expecting arrive safely, and when?" The following detailed answer was correct on all counts: "Finding that the lords of the day and hour being Saturn and Mars, are both in the Ascendant, and observing that the Moon is applying to an aspect of Saturn, it seems the ship has encountered a violent storm, but has escaped, inasmuch as Venus and the Moon are beheld by Jupiter. And observing that the Ascendant is in a bi-corporeal sign, the ship's company has survived and had passed from one vessel to another. And as Venus, who has dominion over birds, is in opposition to Sagitarrius, they will bring some birds with them. And because the Moon is in the house of Mars and in the terms of Mercury, they will probably bring some books and papyri, and some brass vessels on account of the Moon also being in Scorpio. And observing that Aesculapius will rise with the Moon, their cargo will include medicines, too. The ship will arrive when the Moon enters Aquarius."

What it can do: Give very accurate insights and guidance to any individual, business or group by answering questions pertaining to any given situation-- past, present, or future. I have thousands of examples on record that proved amazingly accurate as the future unfolded!

What it cannot do: Endow you with skills or abilities in a given situation, make a decision for you, or teach you certain lessons you may need learn. However, for a responsible person, it will give excellent guidance and answers. Using it for dishonest or nefarious means will generally produce a retaliation against the user in some manner, or it will simply not work. There are also instances for which answers are not able to be given. This is a sign that God may be saying a specific lesson must be experienced, and nothing more can be revealed at that time.

Horary astrology (or Prasna, the Vedic term) is a powerful tool for making important decisions and finding out information about a given situation. Horary is useful in forensics as well. What's great about horary is that birth times are not needed to answer horary questions. I have answered thousands of horary questions and my clients and I continue to be amazed at the great detail provided in these charts. You will know you are in the matrix. However, here is some food for thought.

There have been many misconceptions about how Horary Astrology is used. I believe that as long as we are pursuing honest endeavors with a pure heart and good intention for all parties involved then asking the universe for more information is a good thing. There are some horary questions that I may not answer, and these will show up when you aren't supposed to have any more information at a certain time.

A ship captain uses radar, weather reports, satellite reports, etc., in order to make informed decisions and ensure safe passage of his vessel, passengers, cargo and crew. Keep in mind however, the radar or weather data does not control the vessel, nor does it make any decisions. The captain does! In other words, we are ultimately responsible for our actions, decisions, abilities and plans of action and should keep astrological divination in proper perspective. However, if Horary Astrology is used with a pure, honest intent, then it would certainly seem appropriate to use it with common sense and reverence.
