Posing a Horary Question

1. Never ask question for fun or to test the astrologer. It usually will not be readable! It is best to ask only important "need to know" questions that are serious.

2. Make certain you carefully think out of all the aspects of the question prior to posing it to the astrologer. It is best to constrain the question to a time frame when applicable. For example, "Is it best to go into business with X at this time?"

3. You can ask multiple choice questions, but you must narrow down your selections to no more than three choices.

4. Just remember not to start rattling off as many question on the fly as you can think of while on the phone. The question must be something that is burning in your consciousness, not something that might come to you as a "by the way. . ." question.

5. Be careful to be specific in your question. For example, the King of Tyre asked an ancient astrologer, "If I go to war will a great empire be lost?" The answer was yes. The problem was, the kingdom lost was his! You see, the chart answered the question, but because the king was not specific, he did not get a specific answer. Whose fault was that? The king's of course.

6. Ask a question once and rely on the answer. Do not keep re-asking the same question over and over expecting a result you are looking to get. For example if the answer tells you something will not be in your favor! It is usually best with Horary and Prasna to have taken or experienced some action on the physical plane, i.e. to be rooted in the reality of the situation and not to question purely hypothetical matters. However, I have gotten very reliable results concerning hypothetical questions.

7. Only ask a repeat question after a significant amount of time has elapsed and events have altered the situation. The chart will sometimes give ambiguous answers if the question is asked too frequently.
